Two sides to every story isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since completing 0’s ‘Home Run King’, Gene Clark fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Gene Clark on ‘Home Run King’. Great Blues right here!
Lonely Saturday pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. In The Pines is the song that really did it for me. Kansas City Southern as a highlight of Two sides to every story contains a ton of exquisite melodies. You have to get essence of the Give My Love To Marie’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. This track is full of harmonies and gets Two sides to every story off to a relaxing start. Music in Marylou is cool as in all tracks of Two sides to every story. Hear The Wind is marvelous song though, very addictive. Gene Clark is hitting on all cylinders in Past Addresses. Silent Crusade rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.

This album has some very good songs like The Plague and Fun City. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Marc Almond. Bite,Black and Blues isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Fun City is a good listen every once in a while. Gloomy Sunday is another strong production from Marc Almond. Switchblade Operator is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. The sound in Muleskinner Blues is really warm and Marc Almond’s signature voice is still very much present. Blue Prelude is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Slease is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Marc Almond ever produced. Black Heart makes a person feel cool. If you are a Marc Almond fan, you will love My Former Self. In Love Amongst The Ruined the music gets its power. Some of the arrangements found on Bite,Black and Blues are surprisingly edgy. I came to like Nobody Loves You When You’re Down and Out.

It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Sheena Easton energies, virtually a rebirth. This disc has all of the essential Sheena Easton classics. This is the first studio album from Sheena Easton since bad diagnosis in 1982. If I may, I suggest “Machinery”. That one song is amazing!
Weekend In Paris is the most memorable and marvelous. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Sheena Easton offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. I can’t stop playing Ice Out In The Rain. I hope to keep hearing Sheena Easton works for a long time to come. It took me a little time but I ended up loving The Wind Beneath My Wings. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. In The Winter pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. You Do It is almost impossible to review. Some Of Us Will is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. So We Say Goodbye one is one of the better boring ones.

On Big Night Music album, Shriekback have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since Shriekback last CD (Big Night Music) on ForeFront Records back in 1986, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been six years Shriekback’ last studio CD, “Big Night Music” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Big Night Music touched my soul like nothing else.
I was truly moved when I heard Gunning For The Buddha. Running On The Rocks is really the reason why I recommend buying Big Night Music. Shriekback allows each song to breathe and flourish. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Big Night Music. Put Exquisite into car stereo for your highway driving It’s a great pleasure to listen to The Reptiles And I from the beginning to the end. After few listenings I started to like Sticky Jazz more and more. Cradle Song is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.

After seeing It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue, I had to have a good Graham Bonnet cd. Graham Bonnet’s debut, ‘Graham Bonnet’, does not fit easily into one genre. Self-described as Rock: Hard-Rock with lots of words, Graham Bonnet comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow
Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. I listened to the opening track Tired Of Being Alone and liked it a lot. Get Graham Bonnet and turn on Wino Song if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Goodnight And Goodmorning is a striking and quite long song. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Sunday is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Blew our minds when we first heard Rock Island Line. Soul Seeker is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Heroes On My Picture Wall is the albums biggest surprise.

On the Estonia charts, superstar Saga’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is the first studio album from Saga since bad diagnosis in 1993. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Saga on ‘Entracte (Instrumental)’. This album is a scorcher!
Saga is one of artists that allow his songs like Mind Over Matter to stand on their own and be heard. Once Is Never Enough is a medium tempo tune. Alone Again - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. The Security Of Illusion is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Days Like These is another favourite of mine. Voila! (Instrumental) is the first taste of the new album. No Man’s Land - This is a very lively song. Without You is another strong production from Saga.

Peace Of Mind is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This disc has all of the essential Henri Seroka classics. On Peace Of Mind album, Henri Seroka have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Play Ground is the funkiest number on the album. Rise presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Peace Of Mind. Waltz is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Springtime gives good insight into the truths. In Motherly full palet of sound is used by Henri Seroka to accentuate the presentation. Longing is the albums biggest surprise. I loved Temptation I the first time I heard it. Peace Of Mind is simple, dignified and effective, Henri Seroka refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. After you’ve listened to Oriental Touch, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Temptation I is really the reason why I recommend buying Peace Of Mind. Highland (5:27) - awsome.

Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Emmylou Harris on ‘Amarillo’. On Elite Hotel album, Emmylou Harris have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Emmylou Harris has. This is one of Emmylou Harris best albums
Put Together Again into car stereo for your highway driving One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Feelin’ Single Seein’ Double. Sin City is amazing work of Emmylou Harris. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Till I Gain Control Again hits the heart. The song Here There And Everywhere ending is my favorite… so catchy! Music and lyrics of Ooh Las Vegas creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Sweet Dreams defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. In Jambalaya (On The Bayou) Emmylou Harris is at his best. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Satan’s Jeweled Crown is my favorite song on Elite Hotel. Overall a nice softer song.

Rocks, Pebbles and Sand carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Lead single “Danger Street” and “All Hell Broke Loose” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real R&B: Soul music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Rocks, Pebbles and Sand’ really is amazing. This is what good R&B: Soul should be.
I can’t stop playing All Hell Broke Loose. Rocks, Pebbles and Sand to me is the best you can get from Stanley Clarke. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Vocals of Stanley Clarke in You-Me Together really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. We Supply hits the heart. Story of a Man a Woman, Pt. 1: She Thought I Was Stanley Clarke is probably the most interesting track on Rocks, Pebbles and Sand. Part 2: A Fool Again (6:17) - awsome. Part 3: I Nearly Went Crazy (Until I Realized What Had Occurred) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.

On Wild Dogs album, The Rods have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album has some very good songs like Too Hot To Stop and Waiting For Tommorow. Jim Jones has compared writing for The Rods’s new album to that on ‘Wild Dogs’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. If I may, I suggest “Too Hot To Stop”. That one song is amazing!
It took me a little time but I ended up loving Waiting For Tommorow. In Violation full palet of sound is used by The Rods to accentuate the presentation. Burned By Love - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Wild Dogs is the song that really did it for me. Wild Dogs couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track You Keep Me Handing On. Rnr Again is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Wild Dogs. End Of The Line - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
