It has been thirteen years The Proclaimers’ last studio CD, “Sunshine on Leith” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. When you buy a The Proclaimers album, you know exactly what you’re getting! The Proclaimers had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Great Folk right here!
Cap in Hand to me is the best you can get from The Proclaimers. Then I Met You is probably one of The Proclaimers’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. My Old Friend the Blues is a bit different from The Proclaimers stereotypical stuff. Sean rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Music of Sunshine on Leith is gentle, never overbearing. The Proclaimers is one of artists that allow his songs like Come on Nature to stand on their own and be heard. The Proclaimers has astounded me with this amazing track. What Do You Do? is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Music in It’s Saturday Night is marvelous as in all tracks of Sunshine on Leith. You have to get essence of the Teardrops’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Oh Jean - arguably the best track on Sunshine on Leith album.
