Leonard Cohen’s debut, ‘Songs of Leonard Cohen’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is one of the best Cd’s Leonard Cohen has dropped to date. For older fans Songs of Leonard Cohen will put a massive smile accross your face. To me Leonard Cohen is the best band ever.
One listen to the sheer beauty of So Long, Marianne was all I needed. Stranger Song can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Leonard Cohen is all about. Winter Lady - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Master Song - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Suzanne is perfect song though, very addictive. Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Store Room [#][*] - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Blessed Is the Memory [#][*] is the more seemingly obscure song on Songs of Leonard Cohen that bear up best to repeated listening.
