Kings Of Leon’s debut, ‘Because of the Times’, does not fit easily into one genre. Kings Of Leon was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Kings Of Leon and Because of the Times together. Now signed to Kings Of Leon’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Because of the Times” leads Kings Of Leon’s back-to-school campaign. This album is a scorcher!
Trunk is another strong production from Kings Of Leon. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Once Fans gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. The Runner is a great opener for Because of the Times. True Love Way is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Ragoo is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. My Party is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. McFearless is pretty funky and mellow. In Black Thumbnail Kings Of Leon spins a tale you want to hear to the end. On Call is almost impossible to review. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Charmer, which shows, blatantly, how much Kings Of Leon has evolved as a singer. Knocked Up hits the heart.
