Since Kim Larsen and Gasolin’ last CD (Rabalderstr de Forever) on Virgin Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. While no new Kim Larsen and Gasolin’ album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1991 tour in Africa. For older fans Rabalderstr de Forever will put a massive smile accross your face. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Pa Banen (Derudaf) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Det Var Inga Katinka Og Smukke Charlie Pa Sin Harley - Kim Larsen and Gasolin’ first major hit. Se Din By Fra Tarnets Top - This is a very lively song. I love the melodic melody of Kap Farvel Til Umanarssuaq and to this day it makes me feel good. Once Rabalderstr de gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Kvinde Min - Okay, I just talked about depth. Pilli Villi makes a person feel cool. There is exquisite mix of music in Stakkels Jim. Kim Larsen and Gasolin’ breathes new life into the music in L nges Hjem. Kim Larsen and Gasolin’ offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Kloden Drejer Stille Rundt has a fun tempo. Pas Pa Svinget I Solrod is another strong production from Kim Larsen and Gasolin’. U lu la lu is almost impossible to review. Musically Masser Av Succes is superior to other tracks in Rabalderstr de Forever. Get On The Train - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. A unique and uplifting song. Hva gor vi nu lille du is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Jumbo Nummer Nul is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Voice of Kim Larsen and Gasolin’ in Det Bedste Til Mig Og Mine Venner is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. The song feels complete.
