Lead single “Bruci la citta” and “La finestra” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Irene Grandi’s new album to that on ‘Greatest Hits’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. twelve years ago, Irene Grandi briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “La finestra”. IF you love Irene Grandi, ‘Greatest Hits’ Mp3’s is the best!
Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Bum bum (Unplugged 2007) is almost impossible to review. Oltre (Unplugged 2007) is the more seemingly obscure song on Greatest Hits that bear up best to repeated listening. This track is clearly meant to showcase Irene Grandi’s vocal abilities. The first time I listened to Prima di partire per un lungo viaggio (Unplugged 2007) I was struck by its excellent sound. Irene Grandi sings solo un sogno (con Stefano Bollani) in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Music of Io bucolico is gentle, never overbearing. One listen to the sheer beauty of Se mi vuoi (con Pino Daniele) was all I needed. Uno in pi is beautiful, yet underrated track. Buon compleanno is astounding. I find myself hearing bits of Resist you here and there throughout my waking hours. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Overall a nice softer song. Don’t judge La tua ragazza sempre (Ricky Montanari Dub Vocal RMX) on the first listening.
