There is so much to love about Hanson Brothers, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It’s natural for Hanson Brothers to take a stab at ‘Hockey Song’ considering her long-professed love for Ultra Dolphins. It has been three years Hanson Brothers’ last studio CD, “Sudden Death” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
I like Stick Boy because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with We’re Brewing. In Not For Mary Lou the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. You Can’t Hide The Heino is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. You have to get essence of the Third Man In’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Danielle (She Don’t Care About Hockey) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Hanson Brothers ever produced. I listened to the opening track I Never Will Forget Her and liked it a lot. Album opener Four Heads, One Brain is a bright, upbeat ditty. Rink Rat is a song to enjoy for years to come. Pea, Pie And Pub is the more seemingly obscure song on Sudden Death that bear up best to repeated listening. I’ll Ask The 8-Ball is astounding. My Problem on Sudden Death is solid and easy to listen to. Hanson Brothers is one of artists that allow his songs like He Looked Allot Like Tiger Williams to stand on their own and be heard. Sudden Death is nothing but pure genius.
