The Sweet Escape isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Gwen Stefani energies, virtually a rebirth. It’s natural for Gwen Stefani to take a stab at ‘Wind It Up’ considering her long-professed love for U2. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Orange County Girl the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Now That You Got It is one of the more up-tempo songs on The Sweet Escape. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Yummy - featuring Pharrell is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Gwen Stefani emotions are reflected through Fluorescent. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Breakin’ Up is my favorite song on The Sweet Escape. Don’t Get It Twisted is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Gwen Stefani ever produced. U Started It is one of my favorite songs by Gwen Stefani. Wonderful Life is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Wind It Up (Live Version) which is my favorite is a truly Gwen Stefani sounding song.
