It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Eileen Ivers energies, virtually a rebirth. IF YOU LIKE ALL Eileen Ivers’S SONG GO FOR IT! Eileen Ivers had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Crossing the Bridge is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Jama is a strong cut, one of many. The sound in Bygone Days is really warm and Eileen Ivers’s signature voice is still very much present. Whiskey and Sangria gives good insight into the truths. Crossing the Bridge the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. The first time I listened to Nearer My God to Thee I was struck by its exquisite sound. Bunch of Keys has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. March Up Fifth - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I find myself hearing bits of Islanders here and there throughout my waking hours. Some call Crowley’s/Jackson’s from Crossing the Bridge as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This track is full of harmonies and gets Crossing the Bridge off to a relaxing start.
