John Digester has compared writing for Dave Brubeck’s new album to that on ‘Time Further Out’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Now signed to Dave Brubeck’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Time Further Out” leads Dave Brubeck’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Dave Brubeck classics. Such great and happy songs.
Bluette is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Far More Blue is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Far More Drums is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Maori Blues is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Unsquare Dance is my favorite song on Time Further Out. Bru’s Boogie Woogie had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Blue Shadows In The Street has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Listening to Slow and Easy (A.K.A. Lawless Mike) you can hear that Dave Brubeck has still amazing chemistry with band members. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Time Further Out is It’s A Raggy Waltz (Live).
