Lead single “It’s Not Over” and “Used To” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since Daughtry last CD (Daughtry) on Savoy Records back in 2006, I have felt a massive void in my life. For older fans Daughtry will put a massive smile accross your face. Daughtry is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Get Daughtry and turn on Used To if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Home is my favorite song on Daughtry. Over You is a striking and quite long song. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Feels Like Tonight has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Daughtry’s strong vocals come to the fore. What I Want (Featuring Slash) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Breakdown is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Gone. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Daughtry. All These Lives is a good listen every once in a while. What About Now hits the heart. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Crashed (Acoustic) make listening to Daughtry like being in some sort of time warp.
