Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Apulanta on ‘Hiekka’. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Hiekka’ really is amazing. Since Apulanta last CD (Hiekka) on Savoy Records back in 2002, I have felt a massive void in my life. Hiekka is not something you should pass up.
Hippo is a perfect sing-along. Jumala is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Faarao the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Valas is my favorite song on Hiekka. Apulanta allows each song to breathe and flourish. Saasta makes a person feel excellent. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. The song Lihaviihde ending is my favorite… so catchy! Laake is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction.
