John Digester has compared writing for Antonio Carmona’s new album to that on ‘Vengo Venenoso’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Antonio Carmona has. Since completing 2006’s ‘Se amarra el pelo’, Antonio Carmona fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Such great and happy songs.
Put Hay veces into car stereo for your highway driving This song is dynamic and dramatic. Ay de mi (Con Mala Rodriguez) is a very catchy tune. Puerto moruno is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. A Lucia Fernanda is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Antonio Carmona ever produced. Such hits like Una, 2 y 3 will leave you hooked. I like the agression and power of Para que tu no llores (Con Alejandro Sanz). A tu lado (Con Juanes) actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Antonio Carmona’s face. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Vengo Venenoso is Miedos.
