Anja Lechner and Vassilis Tsabropoulos was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Anja Lechner and Vassilis Tsabropoulos and Chants Hymns and Dances together. Lead single “Chant From A Holy Book” and “Bayaty” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing Chant From A Holy Book, I had to have a good Anja Lechner and Vassilis Tsabropoulos cd. To me Anja Lechner and Vassilis Tsabropoulos is the best band ever.
A fantastic track full of wonder. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Duduki stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. In Interlude I it becomes nowhere more obvious that Anja Lechner and Vassilis Tsabropoulos has yet to define own style. Trois Morceaux Apres Des Hymnes Byzantins I - another great track from the Chants Hymns and Dances album. Trois Morceaux Apres Des Hymnes Byzantins Ii is a bit of a show-tune. This is probably my favorite song on the album. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This song may be the most meaningful. Interlude Ii is really the reason why I recommend buying Chants Hymns and Dances. I like to sing along with Assyrian Women Mourners, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Armenian Song - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is No.11. Woman’s Prayers - To me, this is the best song on the Chants Hymns and Dances. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing.
