The Party Scene isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On The Party Scene album, All Time Low have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lead single “Prelude” and “The Party Scene” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
All Time Low is one of artists that allow his songs like The Party Scene to stand on their own and be heard. Lullabies is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Although Hometown Heroes, National Nobodies is very melodic it is far from sad. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in The Party Scene. Interlude is simply exquisite. I have all of All Time Low’s tracks and We Say Summer is probably the most his introspective effort. I can’t stop humming along Break Out! Break Out!. Running From Lions - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Noel is a medium tempo tune. I like the agression and power of I Can’t Do The One Two Step. The Girl’s A Straight Up Hustler - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of All Time Low. Untitled Bonus Track is a astounding song and it grows on you.
